Workshop: Data Sharing and Data Quality of Ocean Currents and Temperature: Towards an Operational Data Management System for the Southeast Region. Goal: Develop information base on the methodology for regional aggregation, quality control and dissemination of ocean current and temperature data. This information base will be used towards drafting white papers specifying methodologies, requirements, and services for a regional data management system. March 9-10, 2006, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Summer 2005
Invitational Workshop, July 27-28, 2005 following the SEACOOS Workshop, Jacksonville, Florida. Also known as the "stickies" workshop for the post-it notes used to accumulate the results of breakout groups.
Spring 2005
Ocean Observing Priorities Meetings in Melbourne, Florida (Februrary 24, 2005) and Charleston, South Carolina (March 11, 2005): review and update national backbone assets, identify proposed criteria and recommended priorities for current, salinity, and directional waves observations on NDBC platforms.

SECOORA Summit, November 30 - December 2, 2004, Jacksonville, Florida. Resulting in the resolution to establish SECOORA.

SECOORA Fisheries Management Data Requirements Workshop Summary
In late August, SECOORA convened a workshop in St. Petersburg, FL to assess the data management and applications requirements for the regional fisheries management community.
