A draft U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System: Road Map to Full Operational Capability has been released for review. SECOORA members, please review and provide comment by January 29, 2010 to Debra Hernandez (debra@secoora.org). The following attachments are for your consideration and use in the review process.

2. Draft U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System: Road Map to Full Operational Capability (PDF document - 46 pages plus appendices)
   • Ch 1: Explains how to read, understand and use the Road Map
   • Ch 2: Describes the destination - U.S. IOOS full functionality explained in sufficient detail to organize system development and fielding, and roles
     among participants/partners
   • Ch 3: Describes how to track the progress of system development during the U.S. IOOS journey
   • Ch 4: Explains who is participating in U.S. IOOS, how they contribute to U.S. IOOS development & execution, and how to track their progress
   • Ch 5: Describes the path to be taken to reach the destination of full U.S. IOOS operational capability
